Pigeons hide their nests.As very small babies,they are not the most attractive bird!!!They balance their nests of sticks inside the guts of bridges, or atop tall buildings, or on top of your air conditioner. Pigeons are proper parents. They lay only two eggs at a time, and spoil those babies shamefully. The parents will feed the babies until they're totally feathered out. By the time they leave the nest, they'll be about the same size as the adults.Their plumage and size are so similar to those of the flock they hang around with that only the practiced pigeonophile would be able to pick out the babies.!!!
Look for them in the spring and summer.
They may have stray strands of down poking through their feathers.They may retain a trace of the "lip" around their beak.Their heads may be narrower.They may be shy,and more timid.They won't be professional in going after the best food.

They stay in their nests fo so long that they are big when they come out so you wouldn't recognise them as babies.

if you don't know what they look like how do you know you've never seen one? they might look really different to adult pigeons!
like tiny versions of pigeons but more fluffy and actually cute ^-^

Yep. They are so small and so cute. They are so adorable. Some even look a little fuzzy, until their feathers come about.

Pigeon's do not leave the nest until they are the same size as their parents so you are unlikely to be able to tell them apart, although they do look a bit unkempt.
I don't know why somebody gave Jim H the thumbs down .. Newly hatched baby birds are among the ugliest things you will ever encounter .. It's not until they are about a week old when they are a little more downy that they start to resemble cute...

can I ask everybody here a silly question .. Are you all city/big town dwellers ? Because as a country grown girl . .baby critters were common. :)
they look like their parents, but scruffier. a baby pigeon iscalled a SQUAB
when first born pink skin all legs and a ugly looking beak.They then get yellow fluff.
i found one on its own once and i had to look after it but anyway they look realy grey and realy fluffy, their soooo cute"!
