Female or male budgie?

Just wondering which you think makes a better pet, a male or a female budgie. Keeping in mind that I do not care whether he/she talks or not.
Answers:
If you want a talking budgie a male one is the best. Don't have a mirror. he will just jabber to the mirror and not with you.

A female budgie is OK if you don't want to teach a male to talk.

If you decide to have two budgies make sure you get them of the same sex. I tried having a male and female budgie together and I watched the male nearly cover himself in foam trying to impress the female. I took him to the vet and we all laughed after I was told what was happening. The male was
just making himself attractive for the female. He was sopping wet! I gave the male away and just kept the one.

They love toys to play with and you could train it to do all sorts of things. %26#92;
Good luck
hmm well i would have too say both get yourself the pair so they can keep each other company! Also they might mate later that way you can give away the baby's or sale them if you like.
Oh for God's Sake. Dioes it really matter!
Both are equally delightful, but males generally, are more companionable. A female has the possibility of egg laying,with the chance of becoming egg bound.
A single bird will require your attention/company most of the time.
Keep in mind males are more vocal and females are more quit in general. So it is not only the talking but it is chirping in general and possibly yelling. However I have a male and he chirps all of the time but real quietly, some of them can be louder. Good luck and have fun:)
