Ducks liking you?

i have 4 mallard ducklings 5 weeks old i have had them since they where a day old and since i go they never seemed to like me very much how do i get them to like me more?
Answers:
I had a mallard duckling and a pekin duckling. Both raised from barely an egg. What I can say is the Pekin duck was much more friendly and personable than the mallard. They were raised with the same love and attention! Both were bought from a domestic duck breeder. So I think breed can play a role in the behavior and temperament.

Also, with 4 of them they will most likely bond with each other rather than with you. If you took them from the wild, they might be imprinted by their wild bird parents so all these factors will contribute.

Handle each seperately and get them used to trusting your voice and movements. Try not to force them to do anything they don't want to do but work to gain their trust, just like any other bird.

On a side note though if you did take them from the wild you need to contact a wild life rehabber to rehab them and put em back, those birds are needed by Canada and Mexico under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
mallard ducks are very jumpy in nature... i don't think its possible to make them like you. i raised ducks during a research project and they never warmed up. Whereas, a pekin duck is much more tolerable of a man's presence.
