Well i had adopted young bird chicks a couple times and its sounds kinda discusting how u feed them. You see in the wild the mother bird finds worms and chews them up and then regergatates the worm into the chicks mouth. so u have to crush the worms and put it into their mouths. Ya told ya. Oh and if u cant find worms or have a queezey stomach then just get bread and soak the bread in water or milk until its soggy and then roll it in very small balls ( while the bread is still soggy) and then feed it to them.
i know how you feel by watching them die when you can help them. The same thing happened to me 2 or 3 years ago. I used to give them water + small worms mashed with stones with a dropper. But out of 5 only 4 survived. Try it ,its worth the attempt.

  1. Indeed, I've raised a House Martin before and it ate worms and such, but Sparrows eat seeds and food scraps like bread. I recomend crushing up some garden bird seed with Millet and chicken chick crumbs, they love the stuff, also add water so it goes down smoothly.
