Sometimes an egg will just drop when the female is not on the nest. You really can't hatch it.
Hello, Nice Though but best to just toss the egg if you can't get it back to the nest..if it just fell out %26 you safely reach the nest ... it could have been a bad egg so the parents rolled it on out..sorry, the news is not better, just how things %26 Nature is ..it can seem cruel to us humans, but it's best to leave Nature just be %26 not interfere, almost impossible to save a natual wild egg..they aren't like chicken or reptile eggs ( %26 only reptile experts can do reptile eggs - they really have special needs %26 requirements ) ..Take Care
We used to set up just a plain small cardboard box, cushion it with material/old shirt etc, and set a small lamp where the lamp shines into the box. Pin a pillow case/sheet/ piece of material or blanket around the bottom of the lamp, and around the box. Do not block off the top of the lamp - it can catch the material on fire. It should keep the egg warm enough... Use at least a 40 watt bulb. Good luck.
It is not fool proof but you can use a light bulb placed very close to the egg - you will have to make sure it is warm but not too hot and turn it daily - but then what? Do you have the time to feed whatever hatches out - and then teach it to fly? As a kid I had grand plans of hatching my own little pet. I have even taken in baby birds that have fallen out of the nest - but only once did the bird live - and it already had feathers it was just injured. It is a lot of work
