House sparrow nest under window ac unit.?

I pulled the unit out of window to move to another room. what should I do about the nest? It has 5 eggs in it.
Answers:
If you can, with gloves, place the nest with the five eggs back near the same area in the window. Maybe you can make a little box and attach it somehow to the window and place the nest inside. If it doesn't need to be moved, then just leave it alone, and hopefully the mother will come back.

If you touch the eggs, the mother Sparrow may not come back and sit on her eggs to hatch. Somehow they can smell the scent of human hands on the eggs.

If the mother does not come back, you can call a vet or talk to someone that works in a bird store that is knowledgeable, about the possibility of you taking over the nest.
I was thinking maybe you could place the nest with the eggs under a heat lamp and see if by some chance they hatch! Wouldn't that be something!

if at all possible don't move it. if you must move it take care to keep from touching it with your bare hands. birds will sometimes abandon their nests if they smell human scent.

if possible replace it as close as possible to where it originally was. Birds cannot smell your scent...most do not have a highly developed sense of smell so do not worry about them abandoning for this reason. They may abandon because of the disturbance...but you can at least try to put it back and see what happens.
