Hi, i need to know if penguins can actually fly cause i thought i saw one the other day. thanks :)?

No, none of the species of penguins are capable of flight. But, some of the species of cormorrants (especially the Pied) can look like a penguin.
You might feel kind of stupid for asking that question, but it's not really. It was actually pretty smart of you to ask because imagine if you went up to some one and said that you saw a penguin fly. The answer is no. Penguins can't fly.

No they can't fly. there are over 50 species of penguins, all of which are flightless. they are adapted so that they could swim. their species is specifically for 'flightless birds.' Just look at their "wings"!
Just like everyone else has said, no they can't. There are some birds that resemble penguins in colour, such as certain cormorants.
