Help.my tiel is sick!!?

this morning, when i went to go feed my cockatiels, one of them was sqautted in the bottom of the cage with his feathers fluffed, his wings spread out, and his eyes squinted shut. i stayed home from school to take care of him. i moved him to a box with towels and heating pads in it, but he doesnt seem to be feeling any better. he'll drink water from a syringe, but he wont eat anything, not even millet or baby bird formula. i cant get him to the vet for at least a day or two. he seems to just be getting worse though. what else can i do for him?? PLEASE HELP!!
Answers:
you need to get him into the vet now. the longer you wait the worse he'll get and there may be a chance he won't make it. check over his body to make sure there are no broken feathers, bruises etc.
TAKE YOUR BIRD TO THE VET NOW. Please.
Take him to the vet .. he will die if you don't. I know u said u can't for a couple of days .. but the bird will be dead before then if u don't!! In the mean time continue to get him to drink. It sounds like ur tiel is really sick!!
sounds like you have more then one tiel in a cage, and the more likly then not it's laying an egg and should not have been taken out of the cage. If you have more then one bird in a cage that you think is sick, 9 chances out of 10, the other one is sick too. The heating pad should have been placed on the outside of the cage, and blanket put on the cage to maintain the heat inside the cage.

Spring has sprung and it's egg laying time. This is what females do this time of year. They rock back and forth on the bottom of the cage until they lay an egg. Yep wings spread away from their bodies to hide what they are doing. That does not mean give them a nest box. It means, you should have done your homework before putting two birds together and realizing what is going to happen.

If birds are sick, All in that cage are sick!! Removing the bird only stresses the bird out more.

If you can't afford a vet, you can't afford to keep a bird. No excuses for not taking any animal to a vet for treatment, none!

If you were sick, would your parents hold back treatment for you? I'd think not!

Good luck!
You can take him to a vet, there is no reason to wait a day or two. Usually there are 24 hr emergency vets that are open as soon as normal vet practices close. I hate to sound harsh, but it sounds like your poor cockatiel is not going to make it. When you get to the vet bring in the second cockatiel you had in the cage and have him checked out. Chances are he's gonna catch whatever the other bird has. Best of luck, but next time don't ask PetQnA.com what to do, call a vet for answers.
