I live about 40 miles south east of Albany, about 1300 feet up. I normally only get chickadees and titmice at my feeder. I have seen this bird at my feeder, but cannot identify it. I can't find it in books or online. It looks just like a tufted titmouse, but has a bright red breast/neck. Loves my lilac bush. Can anyone help?

mmmm..could it be a female Northern Cardinal? They do have the tuft and some red on their chest. See photo below:
