Does anyone know where I can buy a baby chick in the Seattle area?

I only need one to go with the one that i already have, she is a barred rock..and most pet stores only sell them in groups of six..does anyone know of any poultry farms or rescue groups that sell baby chicks individually?...thanks!

Call DeYoung's Farm Supply in Woodinville, They will sell them one at a time. They had some the last time I was there, but that was a couple of weeks ago. When they run out, they usually don't get more. Also, try Bothell feeds at Thrashers Corner. I was told just yesterday that they had chicks there. Del's in Monroe also has chicks, but i have never bought there before.
check with a feed store .like the ones that sell horse feed ,basic pet feed
Best place to look would be your local paper classified adds. Many private breeders or hobbyists advertise in them. Also check the largest news paper classified adds in the State.Private breeders generally will sell one at a time.Pet stores are never the best place to buy a chick. You may also check your local feed store. Many of them have a bulletin board that people post on.
If there is a city farm where you live (there probably is, Seattle is bigger than my city and we have four), then check there because this is the right time of year to be hatching out.
