Does anyone know about Quaker Parrots?

My fiancee's parrot is between 10-15 yrs old and for the last couple of weeks she has been less active. She stays in the corner of the bottom of the cage, and the only time she climbs her sticks when she is hungry/thirsty. She has also been really quiet, which is totally not her character. Is there anything at home I can do for her? If not is there a website where I can get information about vets that specialize in parrots in my area?
Answers:
You definitely need to take her to the vet. I've owned parrots for years and they can be suseptible to disease. If she is acting out of character (which any Quaker who is quiet is not normal) that's the first sign something is wrong. She could have a parasite or just a cold but either way they are fragile and it could kill her.

I live in NC where the local vet school has a bird clinic. You could look for something similar in your area or just look for vets that provide avian care. Most of them do.
check yahoo local for avain specialists
She needs to go to the vet. Bird go down hill fast when they are sick. I would simply call around to local vets. Check for ads that say exotic care. Just ask if they treat birds. Many animal hospitals treat birds, its harder to find provate vets that treat birds.
